In 2012 Hoyo de Monterrey, one of the oldest Habanos brand, decided to launch an exclusive line for La casa del Habano, and released the Epicure de Luxe. It is only using tobacco from the most valuable area in Cuba, the famous Vuelta Abajo. This smoke packs all the typical Hoyo de Monterrey’s flavours into a small yet exclusive cigar, that is comparable to the 2012 Limited Editions. The construction is superb, it is fully handmade, its high level of quality is on par with any cigar out of La Casa del Habanos. On the flavor profile, it is rather light in taste yet shows a great level of complexity of aromas. The Cohiba Siglo I Cigar claims the title of the smallest Cohiba cigar of all. This is another addition to the Cohiba Siglo collection – created to celebrate the 500th anniversary of discovery of Cuba. The Siglo I sports a Perla vitola – measuring at 102mm with a 40 ring gauge. So, it’s certainly a smaller smoke for you. Although it may be short in size, it’s by no means short in flavour – it delivers a medium-full bodied smoke. Containing earthy notes of cedar and barnyard – with distinct leather aromas.  

The Montecristo Open Junior Cigar was released in 2009 alongside three other sizes as part of the Open Series from Montecristo. This series was invented to accommodate a new generation of cigar smokers – those who enjoyed a more casual smoke. The Open Junior has the smallest vitola in the series.
