The Cohiba Half Century Cigar follows the trend of the smallest format. This smoke was released in 2016 - sporting the new Petit Robusto format, in homage to Cohiba 50 anniversary cigars. The shorter smoking time makes it a valuable addition to his collection of Cuban cigars, for those moments when he has little time. Its flavor profile is incredibly pleasant and typical of Linea Cohiba 1492. The notes of leather, cocoa and florals are the most prevalent here and create an impeccable mix of flavors.
The Partagas Habaneros is a very good option for a go-to-cigar, which packs lots of flavors while not being too strong. Fairly complex cigar, with a lots of peppery flavors, deep coffee, cedar and tobacco flavors. Also some nice cocoa and sweet cream Mild cigar.This stogie, now hand rolled since 2007, is a great Partagas that worth a try.
The Romeo Y Julieta Petite Churchill is the smallest version of the Churchill cigar. Because of its size, it is the ideal cigarette to smoke when you are a little restricted for time. This excellent Cuban Cigar delivers a medium strength smoke with plenty of leather and earthy notes throughout - with a delicious, sweeter finish consisting of honey, vanilla and coffee.
The H.Upmann No.2 is one of Cuba's most popular vitola, a delicious medium Pyramid. It is right up there with the Montecristo No.2. However the flavors are very recognizable as H.Upmann, but the pointy shape of this cigar gives a smoke that is unique in this brand. Very clean taste, no harshness, and medium body give for a perfectly rounded smoke. A cigar that will become even more popular with time. A Pre-1960 release.
The Romeo y Julieta Belvederes Cigar is one of the lighter smokes by Romeo y Julieta. It makes for the ideal smoke as an aperitif or after lunch. This Cuban cigar is different from the brand's usual medium-bodied smokes. It's lighter strength is great for those who are just starting out in cigar smoking.
The Partagás Serie D No.5 was first introduced as a Habanos limited edition in 2008. Partagás have since made it a member of regular production. This Cuban cigar sports a Robusto vitola and is recognised as the smaller sibling to the Partagás Serie D No.4. Very typical of the Partagás brand, this smoke has deep, earthy notes complemented by the spicier tones you'll find within this tobacco blend.
The Hoyo de San Juan from Hoyo de Monterrey is a tasty medium-bodied geniales, with 54 ring gauge and 5.9” (150mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. Released at the 2014 Habanos Festival, this big ring gauge cigar is reminiscent of the old brand, but with a modern twist that appeal to many big ring gauges aficionados. It sports a new band which reads “Serie Le Hoyo” but as any Hoyo de Monterrey, it is hand rolled only using tobacco from San Juan y Martínez district, where the brand was born in 1865. It is of light to medium flavor, very aromatic and rich smoke. One of the best Hoyo out there. Has a great potential for aging, which would make it even smoother.
The Bolivar Petit Coronas is a bestseller among all Petit Coronas. This is a cigar that is released from the beginning. A version of Pre 1960. The thin ring caliber means that it is a very direct and fast burn and that its responsiveness does not falter while burning. A rich and exotic blend like this needs some age to be at its best. Compact and dense construction, perfect burn that extends throughout the length. Rich and creamy and leathery smoke during the first third and then comes the change in a deep, musked smoke.
