The name Guantanamera should be quite easy to recognize for most people. It comes from the title of a famous song by the Cuban composer, Joseito Fernández in 1928. This was a very popular song around the world, especially during its push in the 1960s. As for the age of the brand, this is a fairly young cigar label, as it was only introduced to the world in 2002. Instead, Guantanmera cigars get their tobacco from Vuelta Arriba, the second most important tobacco region. Each vitola in the line is known as "machining", which simply means they are machine-made.
The Romeo y Julieta Cazadores Cigar is another much-loved release from Romeo y Julieta. We can tell you that this Cuban cigar is not for the faint-hearted! It delivers intense peppery notes along with coffee and leather.
The Punch Double Coronas is a classic and powerful cigar, of Prominente format. It is a big lengthy smoke, pretty powerful, medium bodied that has a great complexity of aromas. Its construction is perfect, the draw is amazing, the burn impeccable and it never smokes too hot. It mains aromas are of wood, earth, nuts and grassiness, there are also touches of coffee and fruits. There is a lot of sweetness (toffee); it is very creamy and never too strong. Age this cigar for about 2 years to enjoy its full potential.
The Montecristo OPEN Eagle is a premium Cuban cigar, super Robusto size. The big ring gauge allows a fresh and smooth smoke and reveals light woody and spicy aromas. There is a nice second cigar band around the wrapper with the golden letter OPEN and the vitola name “Eagle”.The Montecristo OPEN Eagle reflects the need for milder Habanos among modern cigar aficionados.
The Montecristo Petit Edmundo is a full bodied petit robusto. Same ring gauge as its big brother the Edmundo but the tobacco leaves used are different. The whole Montecristo taste and experience in a short sized smoke. This cigar is a must have for those who enjoy the short and stout vitolas.
The H.Upmann Royal Robustos is a medium-sized Edmund, an exclusivity of La Casa Del Habano. Launched in limited quantities in 2011, in the face of its great success, production of this small gem continued since 2012. This cigar is hand-rolled by La Casa Del Habanos for H Upmann, and is using only long filling and tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo area in Cuba's Pinar del Río region. It also has great aging potential, 2 or 3 years are recommended.
The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is a Cuban beauty, a medium-full bodied Petit Corona. One of the most recent cigars of the Rafael Gonzalez lineup, (released in 2011), and is a pretty short smoke, perfect for a morning break. Its construction is great; it's perfectly rolled and feels nice between the fingers. It smokes beautifully, rather slowly and has a nice creamy profile but also develops some powerful woody aromas. There are also some creamy aromas, some coffee, some spices from pepper and some berries touches. The finish is long, with vanilla and some floral aftertaste. Overall, it is a great little smoke that can age very well and evolve into an even more mellow profile.
A wonderful cigar that contains all the typical flavors of Montecristo in 20 minutes of smoking. Contrary to popular belief in fine cigars, it is as creamy as it seems. Pure ideal for fast smoking after breakfast. A little cigar that will also delight newcomers to Cuban cigars.
