Released in 1990s, it is fully hand-made with Vuelta Abajo filler leaves. It can be sometimes hard to find, as the production can be interrupted at times, due to high quality standards. It is full of flavors; the aromas are well balanced between woodsy, earthy, sweet and peppery aromas and some creaminess to bind it all. The texture of the Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 is amazing, generates lots of creamy smoke and an amazing taste. . In short, a very impressive smoke by a lesson-known Cuban brand.

The Flor del Cano Selecto is a surprisingly good cigar. It's one of the cheapest hand made. The Selectos is characterized by a subtle sweetness followed by earthy notes. It has an excellent aroma. This intermediate format is the range of what we can call small cigars, although its ring is that of a true cigar. It has the average qualities of the brand, being easy to smoke and good shot and combustion. Simple, but recognizable, it doesn't deceive.

H.UPMANN NOELLAS, nice handmade cigar. Soft to medium cigar with beautiful woody and earthy flavors and some touches of sweetness. The Hoyo de San Juan from Hoyo de Monterrey is a tasty Habano, of Geniales format,. Released at the 2014 Habanos Festival, this big ring gauge cigar is reminiscent of the old brand, but with a modern twist that appeal to many big ring gauges aficionados. It sports a new band which reads “Serie Le Hoyo” but as any Hoyo de Monterrey, it is hand rolled only using tobacco from San Juan y Martínez district, where the brand was born in 1865. It is of light to medium flavor, very aromatic and rich smoke. One of the best Hoyo out there. Has a great potential for aging, which would make it even smoother.
